We're looking for a highly experienced Loan Officer Assistant who understands the mortgage process from application through pre-approval and can confidently support a high-producing Loan Officer in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
As the Loan Officer Assistant, you'll be responsible for helping move files efficiently through the early stages of the loan process while delivering an exceptional borrower experience.
Your responsibilities include:

Prepare complete pre-approval packages for Loan Officer review.
- Review, organize, label, and upload borrower documentation.
- Calculate borrower income accurately.
- Identify missing documentation and proactively follow up with borrowers.
- Send next-step communications as loans transition into the active pipeline.
- Keep loan files organized and updated throughout the process.
- Assist the Loan Officer in maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Communicate professionally with borrowers and internal team members.
- Help ensure files meet underwriting and guideline requirements before submission.
- Utilize company systems to manage pipeline activities and borrower communication.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of recent U.S. mortgage industry experience
- Previous experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Partner, Jr. Processor, or Processor
- Strong knowledge of mortgage guidelines and documentation requirements
- Experience calculating borrower income
- Ability to identify missing documentation before submission
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
