Position: Bilingual EHS Technician (Environmental, Health & Safety)
Position Summary
Support the implementation and compliance of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, risk prevention, and the protection of employees, facilities, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal and external audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, CTPAT, OEA, etc.).
- Conduct safety inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and ergonomic risks.
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and instructions.
- Serve as an internal trainer for safety and environmental programs.
- Support the Fire Brigade and emergency response activities.
- Coordinate shipping logistics, hazardous waste management, and scrap control.
- Prepare and maintain required environmental manifests and documentation.
- Ensure safe chemical handling practices within the facility.
- Identify and develop environmental aspects and impacts assessments.
- Manage and maintain SEMARNAT-related documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses on production lines.
- Provide employee orientation and training, along with other related activities.
Education
Associate Degree, Technical Degree, or Engineering Degree (completed or partially completed) in:
- Industrial Safety
- Environmental Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Or related fields
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial safety, occupational health, or environmental management.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or warehouse environments is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
