The Mexico Import & Export Compliance, Logistics & Costing Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliant, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods into and out of Mexico. This role requires a strong understanding of Mexican import/export regulations, government rules, and tariff structures, while partnering with Purchasing, Finance, and Supply Chain to support product costing, financial forecasting, logistics execution, and tariff recovery initiatives. The position helps manage trade compliance risk, supports freight/logistics performance, improves landed cost accuracy, and enables informed cross-border operational and financial decisions.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Mexican customs/SAT rules and IMMEX requirements; oversee accuracy of pedimentos, invoices, certificates of origin, and supporting records.
Coordinate logistics execution: freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and monitor border crossings and clearance performance.
Support product costing and forecasting: import tariffs/duties/taxes plus freight and brokerage; analyze variances vs. actuals.
Support export tariff pass-through / cost recovery with Sales/Finance/Legal.
Collaborate across functions and support internal controls and system data accuracy.
What You Need to Join Our Team:
4–8+ years experience in Mexico import/export compliance, logistics, trade finance, or landed cost.
Strong knowledge of Mexico customs regulations and tariff structures.
Analytical skills to assess tariff impact and landed cost/cost recovery opportunities.
Bachelor’s in International Trade / Supply Chain / Finance / Accounting / Business (or related).
Preferred: SAP BPC/BOC, Microsoft Dynamics AX, manufacturing/maquiladora experience, bilingual English/Spanish.
