Medical Digital District & Omnichannel Lead
Eli Lilly México Medical Affairs
Lilly México is building a new capability inside Medical Affairs: an integrated digital ecosystem that ensures every healthcare professional visited or not by our field teams has access to timely, accurate, and relevant scientific information.
As Medical Digital District & Omnichannel Lead, you will own this ecosystem end to end. You'll design and administer the digital channels that reach HCPs beyond our field footprint (the Medical Digital District), while also building the digital layer that complements in-person scientific engagement across every therapeutic area for HCPs who *are* visited by Lilly.
This is a medical, non-promotional role. You will operate independently from commercial teams, with your success measured by scientific reach, educational quality, and compliance integrity — not by sales or conversion metrics.
What You'll Do
- Own the Medical Digital District design and run the end-to-end digital scientific engagement model for HCPs with no in-person Lilly coverage, using consent-based strategies and personalized educational journeys to close clinical and scientific knowledge gaps.
- Build the digital layer for visited HCPs: create a digital medical experience — across all therapeutic areas — that reinforces what MSLs and Medical Advisors deliver in person, rather than duplicating or replacing it.
- Administer medical digital channels: medical portals, webinars, WhatsApp, mass mailing, VAE, websites, social media, and other Lilly digital platforms — ensuring every piece of content is scientifically accurate and MLR-approved before it reaches an HCP.
- Build the infrastructure behind the strategy: work with IT and Data teams to integrate data lakes and a medical CRM (kept fully segregated from commercial systems), and to establish content governance that holds up to compliance scrutiny.
- Turn data into scientific insight: use dashboards, engagement data, and segmentation to identify where knowledge gaps exist among HCPs and which channels are best positioned to close them.
- Lead cross-functionally: partner with Medical, Compliance/Legal, Pharmacovigilance, Evidence Generation, and IT to keep the digital ecosystem running and maintain a clear, well-documented firewall from Commercial.
- Manage vendors and platforms: oversee content agencies, CRM/data providers, and app partners (e.g., patient-support and adherence platforms), holding them to scientific quality and data-compliance standards.
- Drive adoption: help MSLs, Medical Advisors, and medical leadership see digital not as a replacement for their work, but as an extension of it.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in pharma is preferred; experience in Medical Affairs is a strong plus. We’re looking for someone who understands or can quickly learn the difference between promotional and non-promotional communication, and why that line matters.
- 2+ years of experience in digital, omnichannel, CRM, or content-governance roles, ideally within a regulated industry.
- Comfort operating inside a compliance-first environment: MLR review cycles, pharmacovigilance basics, and data privacy requirements should feel familiar, not foreign.
- Experience with CRM platforms, journey-design tools, and digital content ecosystems (social, email/mass mailing, WhatsApp, websites, webinars).
- Data fluency: you're comfortable reading dashboards, segmentation, and engagement data, and turning them into decisions — without needing an ROI narrative to justify them.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — you'll work daily with Medical, Compliance, IT, and vendors, and at arm's length with Commercial.
- Fluent Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Communication, or a related field; an advanced degree in health sciences is a plus, not a requirement.
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a growth or performance-marketing role. There are no prescription-linked KPIs, no ROI targets, and no incentive structure tied to commercial outcomes. If you're drawn to this role because you want to *own an ROI number*, it's probably not the right fit.
If instead you're energized by the idea of building compliant digital infrastructure that helps more HCPs get accurate scientific information and by owning that end to end, from strategy to governance to execution this role was built for you.
