About the Job:
The Human Resources Manager role will lead employee relations, recruiting, benefits, HRIS administration, payroll, and training for the Knight Piésold Mexico operation (Knight Piésold Consulting SA de CV). As a member of the Knight Piésold HR team, this position is key to ensure seamless delivery and execution of a full range of HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing, directing and driving HR initiatives and have a passion for strategic thinking and continuous improvement.
Position Summary:
- This position reports to the Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Sr. HR Director in the United States and collaborates closely with global offices including Chile, Canada and the US.
- Responsible for managing the Human Resources function for the Mexico operation which currently has 40+ employees.
- Focus on delivering HR services to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures; support management with the handling and resolution of Human Resources related issues.
- Employ effective recruiting efforts for open positions, including writing job postings, resume reviews, scheduling and participating in interviews, identifying outreach opportunities, and writing offer letters.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files.
- Support payroll in accordance with policies and procedures, as needed.
- Comply with REPSE compliance by preparing the reports on specialized service contracts, subcontracting details, and monthly information requested by clients.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires including data entry in HRIS system, benefit enrollment, training on processes, programs, policies, information systems.
- Lead and manage the performance review process.
- Coordinate the annual engagement survey.
- Serve as Human Resources subject matter expert for Mexico employment laws including hiring practices, employment contracts, working conditions and pay equity laws.
- Assist employees with deployment for international work, coordinate with international tax advisors, assist incoming expatriates with work visas, bank set up and in country orientation.
- Manage complex-high volume HR processes; be able to problem solve and think of scalable solutions related to HR Operations.
- Knowledge of U.S. related employment laws is a plus.
- Occasional travel to offices in Mexico and to the US will be required.
Candidate Profile:
- Ten to fifteen years of human resources experience required; experience or knowledge working in/with the United States preferred.
- BS degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws in Mexico required, including REPSE
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while successfully handling multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and team building skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Skilled in influencing others, develop and maintain working relationships, and deliver results and/or expertise in a professional manner.
- Judgement and decision-making skills that improve employee service and the ability to address privacy/compliance issues with a sense of urgency.
