SALES ASSISTANT
PURPOSE:
To support the Sales Manager in the Freight Forwarder Industry in daily sales activities, customer communication, quotation preparation, shipment coordination, and sales development for the Mexico market while delivering excellent customer service and operational support.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
· Support the Sales Manager with daily sales and customer service activities.
· Prepare quotations and follow up with customers.
· Coordinate with overseas offices, carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies.
· Track shipments and provide shipment updates to customers.
· Assist with documentation, customs clearance coordination, and operational follow-up.
· Maintain customer information, shipment records, and HS Code database.
· Support customer development through phone calls, emails, and follow-up activities.
· Prepare reports and perform other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
Technical:
· Knowledge of the Cargowise system (preferred).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
Professional:
· Fluent English communication (spoken and written).
· Ability to communicate directly with Chinese management in English.
· Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, international trade, customer service, or sales support is preferred.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Ability to work independently and proactively.
· Willingness to learn international logistics, customs clearance, transportation, and supply chain operations.
· Comfortable making customer calls and following up with clients.
