Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Licensed Insurance Coordinator to support our client's growing insurance agency. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in insurance who can confidently assist clients, manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs), gather information for insurance quotes, and provide exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable handling client communications over the phone and email. They should already understand insurance terminology, workflows, and documentation, allowing them to contribute with minimal training while helping improve the overall efficiency of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, prepare, and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) accurately and efficiently.
- Handle insurance ID cards and distribute them to clients promptly.
- Send and manage insurance-related emails with clients, insurance carriers, and brokers.
- Review, organize, and maintain insurance policy documents and client records.
- Process and distribute policy endorsements.
- Resolve pending alerts and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
- Obtain insurance quote information from insurance carriers and brokers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation remains current and organized.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to client requests via phone and email.
- Assist with general administrative and insurance servicing tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an insurance agency or insurance client service role
- Experience preparing and managing Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Experience supporting insurance quoting processes by gathering client information and documentation
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Experience with agency management systems or insurance software is highly preferred
- Active insurance license is a plus but not required, as this role will primarily support non-licensed functions
Schedule/Availability
- Must adhere to the client’s time zone (M-F, 9AM – 6PM CST)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $121.32 per hour
