Applications & SAP Manager (Project Management Focus)
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Applications & SAP Manager with strong Project Management capabilities to lead the SAP and Enterprise Applications team across multiple business functions and regions.
This role will be responsible for managing SAP and other business-critical applications, leading strategic and operational projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery of IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, SAP expertise, business process understanding, and project execution skills within manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SAP and Enterprise Applications team, including SAP support, enhancements, integrations, and other business applications.
- Drive the execution of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring successful delivery on scope, timeline, budget, quality, and business value.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, application owners, infrastructure teams, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, vendors, and external partners to define priorities and execution plans.
- Manage full project lifecycle activities including:
- Business requirements gathering
- Solution design
- Project planning
- Resource coordination
- Testing and validation
- Deployment and hypercare support
- Lead SAP-related initiatives including implementations, rollouts, upgrades, process improvements, integrations, and support operations.
- Ensure alignment with IT governance, compliance, SOX controls, validation requirements, and corporate standards.
- Monitor and report project status, risks, issues, budget, KPIs, and resource utilization to leadership through dashboards, steering committees, and executive presentations.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management for internal teams and external consultants.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for digital transformation and process optimization.
- Promote continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and adoption of best practices across enterprise applications and project management processes.
- Support strategic initiatives related to manufacturing operations, supply chain, finance, procurement, logistics, and corporate systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP and Enterprise Applications environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading IT projects and cross-functional teams in manufacturing industries.
- Strong experience managing SAP environments, preferably SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- Advanced English level required.
- Advanced Spanish level required.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes including Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Production Planning, Logistics, and Warehouse operations.
- Proven experience leading multiple simultaneous projects and managing external vendors/consultants.
- Strong understanding of:
- Project Management methodologies
- SDLC processes
- Change Management
- IT governance
- Risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working in global and multicultural environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification highly desirable.
- Scrum Master or Agile Certification is a plus.
- Experience with: SAP integrations, Manufacturing systems , MES/WMS solutions, ServiceNow, Power BI, Cloud platforms, ITIL processes, Experience in regulated environments (SOX, CSV, GxP) is an advantage.
