General Description
The Specialist in Tax and Payroll Analytics for Mexico will focus on ensuring compliance with Mexican tax regulations related to payroll and utilizing data analytics to provide insights that improve payroll accuracy and efficiency. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws, including ISR, IMSS, INFONAVIT and expertise in analyzing payroll data to identify trends, optimize processes, and support decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or a related field.
3 years of experience in tax compliance, payroll analytics, and/or payroll tax management in Mexico.
English – 60 %
Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including ISR, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and local payroll taxes.
Proficiency in excel, SAP, Power point
Willing to learn and responsible
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, proactive and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Compliance
Ensure compliance with Mexican tax regulations, including ISR, IMSS, INFONAVIT
Validate and ensure accurate withholding and contributions for all payroll-related taxes and benefits.
Assist in the timely and accurate submission of payroll tax reports and filings to authorities.
2. Payroll Data Analytics
Leverage data analytics to track key payroll metrics (KPIs) such as tax liabilities, benefits costs, overtime trends, and employee compensation.
Develop and maintain payroll analytics dashboards and reports for management.
3. Audit and Reporting
Prepare payroll-related tax data for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
Collaborate with auditors and the finance department during tax audits, providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
