Planner Specialist
Work Mode: Onsite, Reynosa Tamaulipas

Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Material Manager, this position is responsible to administrates raw material and purchase components, part numbers – different vendors overseas and domestics, maintaining a vendor planning schedule for determining appropriated levels of inventory to support production plan for Stainless steel and Neoroc operations in timely manner.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Define appropriated investment in raw materials to support production activities according to annual, monthly, and weekly S&O production schedule.
2. Evaluates inventory levels, lot size, lead time, etc... per MRP process on a weekly basis for all materials to be able to manufacture the finished goods requested by the customers as per the production schedule.
3. Keep inventory levels to an appropriated minimum level while continuing to ensure there is adequate inventory for production, to have low investment in Raw materials, without affecting production, considering all key variables involved in manufacturing and logistics activities, always looking for a high inventory turns.
4. Coordinate all activities in Materials department related to adding new materials and components due to New Products, changes on BOMs to current products per PCIs, etc. to secure implementation without impact lead time offered to end customers and reduce obsolescence’s.
5. Under instructions of the Materials Manager will define the strategic for the replenishment, it could be minimum-maximum, Kanban, MRP, etc.
6. Coordinate cycle counts to maintain actual data in inventories.
7. Ensure all purchase order status are accurate in SAP for data for the following Material, Quantity, Supplier, Description, Item description, condition, and lead times.
8. Adjust Kanban sizes and Kanban quantities and MRP for materials based on changes in the production schedules.
9. Adjust purchase order status as necessary to adapt to production needs.
10. Follow up receiving process of purchase components to track on PO related issues will prevent timely payment of vendors invoices.
11. Maintain a backlog orders for all outstanding orders with an estimated delivery date and time.
12. Coordinate raw material shipments with the local I/E team and respective custom brokers.
13. Look for possible MCIP cost reduction opportunities.
14. Build trust by working in partnership with suppliers and corporate buyers to reduce lead times and MOQs.
15. Provide detailed reports to management including material status, consumption trends, delivery statistics and detailed cost analysis.
16. Provide operations within scope with critical materials to avoid manufacturing downtime.
17. Work with tools to identify supplier capacity concerns, and work with other KOHLER FMG departments to prevent or address those concerns.
18. When necessary, escalate trough vendor management and internally within KOHLER organization to drive vendors delivery improvement.
19. Review and recommend finished stock for obsolescence and salvage.
20. Participate in annual physical inventory activities as directed by Materials Manager.
21. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
22. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Preference Bachelor´s degree
EXPERIENCE:
Preference Two years’ experience in raw materials, purchasing, supply chain.
FORMATION:
Preference English spoken, inventory control and ERP.
