Cloud Solutions Manager / Cloud Architect (AWS Strong + Multicloud) — Senior / TIER 4
Location: Hybrid — Mexico City Metropolitan Area
About the Role
We're looking for a Cloud Solutions Manager / Cloud Architect to identify technology needs, evaluate existing architectures, and design and build enterprise cloud solutions with AWS as the primary platform. This role sits at the intersection of business, architecture, security, infrastructure, applications, data, vendors, and operations — turning requirements into implementable, governed architectures aligned with business goals.
This is a hybrid technical-leadership role. You'll act as the go-to cloud reference, define architecture patterns, review designs, guide implementations, make architecture decisions, and coordinate technical teams. While the core strength is AWS, we're looking for someone with multicloud vision across Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud, plus a solid understanding of SaaS platforms.
What You'll Do
- Translate business needs into cloud capabilities, roadmaps, target architectures, and implementation plans.
- Assess current architectures, dependencies, constraints, risks, technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
- Design and build cloud architectures on AWS, with a focus on security, availability, resilience, scalability, automation, and cost efficiency.
- Define landing zones, network patterns, identity, accounts/subscriptions/tenancies, security, monitoring, governance, and operating models.
- Support multicloud initiatives (Azure, OCI, Google Cloud) as needed, while keeping AWS as the core strength.
- Integrate SaaS solutions with identity, data, APIs, networking, security, monitoring, and enterprise operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and technology ecosystems, including IBM or VPM-type engagement models where relevant.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical decisions, standards definition, reusable patterns, and executive/technical documentation.
- Drive FinOps, observability, cloud security, infrastructure-as-code, DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure cloud solutions are implementable, supportable, auditable, and aligned with SLAs, continuity, compliance, and user experience.
What We're Looking For
- 8–10+ years in technology, infrastructure, cloud architecture, modernization, integration, or digital transformation.
- 5–7+ years identifying, designing, building, governing, or modernizing enterprise cloud solutions.
- 3–5+ years leading technical teams, cloud programs, cross-functional architectures, vendors, or modernization initiatives.
- Strong hands-on AWS expertise: Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Well-Architected Framework.
- Working knowledge of Azure (Landing Zones, networking, Entra ID, Monitor, Policy) and Google Cloud (networking, IAM, compute, GKE) for multicloud scenarios.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — compartments, IAM, networking, compute, OKE — is a plus.
- Experience integrating and governing SaaS platforms (identity, data, APIs, security, compliance, support).
- Exposure to IBM ecosystems or VPM-type vendor/delivery models is a plus.
- Advanced technical English for documentation, vendor coordination, and executive presentations.
- Strong communication skills to present architecture decisions, costs, risks, and trade-offs in business terms.
Nice to Have (Certifications)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (highly desirable).
- AWS Certified Security Specialty, Advanced Networking Specialty, or DevOps Engineer Professional.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator/DevOps.
- OCI Architect Professional/Associate.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- FinOps Practitioner, ITIL Foundation, TOGAF, PMP, or Scrum Master.
