We are seeking an experienced Property Damage Claims Adjuster to evaluate, manage, and negotiate property damage claims on behalf of our clients. Leveraging your insurance adjusting expertise, you'll help ensure every claim is thoroughly investigated, accurately documented, and strategically positioned for successful resolution.

Why This Role Matters
As our Property Damage Claims Adjuster, you will serve as the firm's subject matter expert for property damage claims and insurance recovery.
You'll work closely with attorneys, case managers, clients, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors to investigate losses, evaluate damages, negotiate settlements, and ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently.
Your work will directly influence claim valuations, settlement outcomes, client satisfaction, and the firm's ability to recover maximum compensation for those we represent.

What You'll Do
Claim Evaluation & Investigation
- Conduct comprehensive investigations of property damage claims by evaluating causation, scope of loss, and overall damages.
- Review repair estimates, photographs, insurance documentation, police reports, and supporting evidence.
- Identify claim discrepancies, undervaluation, coverage issues, and improper denials based on policy language and industry standards.
- Develop well-supported claim evaluations that strengthen settlement negotiations.
Damage Assessment & Documentation
- Prepare accurate damage assessments, repair estimates, and detailed claim summaries.
- Maintain complete, organized, and compliant documentation throughout the life of each claim.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to attorneys, clients, and insurance representatives.
- Ensure all claim documentation supports effective negotiation and legal strategy.
Negotiation & Insurance Recovery
- Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and carriers to obtain fair property damage settlements.
- Advocate for clients by challenging undervalued estimates and disputed claim decisions.
- Interpret insurance policy provisions and apply coverage appropriately during negotiations.
- Monitor claim progress and proactively manage files through final resolution.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Guide clients through the property damage claims process while setting clear expectations.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, repair facilities, appraisers, and third-party vendors.
- Explain claim requirements, timelines, and documentation needs in a professional and client-focused manner.
- Provide consistent communication and updates throughout the claims process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with attorneys, case managers, negotiators, and operations teams to support successful case outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise on insurance claims, property damage evaluations, and settlement strategies.
- Assist legal teams in developing stronger negotiation positions through detailed claim analysis.
- Support continuous improvements to property damage workflows and claims handling processes.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Property Damage Claims Adjuster, Insurance Adjuster, or similar role managing property damage claims.
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, claims adjusting procedures, and insurance coverage interpretation.
- Proven experience evaluating damages, preparing repair estimates, and negotiating claim settlements.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Professional proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience communicating effectively with insurance carriers, clients, vendors, and legal professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling automobile property damage claims within insurance carriers or third-party administrators.
- Previous experience supporting Personal Injury law firms or legal claims environments.
- Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar property damage estimating software.
- Experience handling disputed claims, total loss evaluations, and complex liability scenarios.
- Professional insurance certifications or adjuster licensing, where applicable.
