Mission of the Role:The MRO Buyer is responsible for the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) goods and indirect services across the Americas region, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery objectives. This role supports operational continuity by managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring procurement activities are executed with discipline and in line with regional strategies.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of MRO materials and indirect services across all Americas locations.
- Manage supplier selection, performance, and development, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Support local and regional stakeholders by proactively identifying and mitigating supply risks.
- Maintain alignment between local procurement execution and regional indirect procurement strategies.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide visibility into procurement performance through reporting and data analysis.
Key Year One Deliverables:
Achieve consistent on-time delivery and cost targets for MRO procurement across assigned locations.
- Establish a structured supplier performance tracking system (quality, delivery, cost, service).
- Deliver measurable cost savings through effective negotiations and sourcing strategies.
- Improve procurement process efficiency by streamlining purchase order management and reporting tools.
- Successfully support critical operations by minimizing supply disruptions.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across the Americas region.
- Contribute to at least one regional procurement or productivity initiative with tangible results.
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles, MRO categories, and supply chain processes.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in MRO or indirect categories.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (automotive, electronics, or industrial sector preferred).
- Hands-on experience with supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Exposure to regional or multi-site support within the Americas is a plus.
