The Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing production schedules, material availability, and work order priorities to support on-time delivery and efficient manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure customer requirements and production goals are achieved.

Create, maintain, and update production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.

Review sales orders and production requirements to establish job priorities and due dates.

Monitor work orders and production progress to ensure on-time completion and shipment.

Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available to support production schedules.

Assist in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) activities and system maintenance.

Release and track manufacturing jobs through the production process.

Communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and priority updates to appropriate departments.

Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve scheduling or material issues.

Monitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate stock quantities.

Support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.

Review and maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems.

Assist with expediting critical jobs and materials to meet customer delivery requirements.

Participate in production meetings and provide schedule status updates.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and production efficiency.

Maintain company quality standards and compliance with internal procedures.

Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Minimum 2–4 years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment required.

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Ability to analyze production data and prioritize workload effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
