THE OPPORTUNITY

Ensure the supply of potato raw materials according to business volume requirements, guaranteeing the highest quality standards, timely delivery, and optimal cost efficiency.

Lead the planning and execution of the medium- and long-term agricultural strategy to secure supply, strengthening current production regions, developing new suppliers and growing areas, and continuing to enhance the seed reproduction program.

Drive and strengthen the implementation of the digitalization agenda across agricultural operations and supply chain processes.

Develop, manage, and ensure compliance with key budgets and plans, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for raw material procurement, MOH operating expenses, and administrative budgets.

Develop strategic supplier partnerships, promote the introduction of new potato profiles and varieties, and ensure long-term supply continuity and sustainable growth.

Evaluate and analyze end-to-end (E2E) processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost savings, productivity gains, and overall business value creation.
Responsibilities:
YOUR IMPACT

Ensure compliance with the potato supply plan by strengthening existing grower relationships and production areas, while identifying, evaluating, and developing new growing regions and supplier partnerships.

Plan, manage, and execute AOP and MOH budgets to achieve optimal raw material costs, including oversight of purchase orders, raw material invoice processing, and related operating expenses and services.

Conduct business analysis and lead strategic projects aimed at delivering productivity improvements, cost savings, and value creation for the company.

Plan and execute harvest logistics to ensure the timely and efficient direct supply of potatoes to the manufacturing facility.

Plan and manage potato storage operations, including intake coordination, inventory management, quality control, storage condition monitoring, and outbound logistics with third-party warehousing and transportation providers.

Plan and execute potato import operations for processing, coordinating with suppliers, managing customs clearance and importation processes, overseeing temporary storage, and ensuring efficient local logistics.

Ensure the implementation of best agricultural practices and effective crop management, from variety selection through the complete trial and validation process, to guarantee the highest quality potatoes for processing.

Review production cost structures, lead annual negotiations with potato suppliers, and ensure the timely preparation, execution, and compliance of legal contracts.

Ensure compliance with the sustainability agenda, including SFP/IMS, Water Use Efficiency (WUE), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction initiatives, Regenerative Agriculture programs, and Pollinator Protection programs.
Qualifications:
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or a related field, with experience in similar leadership roles.

Knowledge of agricultural production, food processing operations, food safety, quality systems, and industrial manufacturing environments.

Experience in agricultural supply chain management, supplier development, budgeting, cost control, sustainability programs, and certification standards.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday on a fixed schedule. Availability on Saturdays may be required during critical periods or based on operational needs, particularly to monitor inventory.

Work Location & Travel: Based in Los Mochis, with frequent travel between Los Mochis and Obregón.

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
-
Intermediate-Advanced English.
