This role offers a dynamic learning environment where you can grow your analytical skills across financial institutions, insurance companies, investment funds, and structured finance transactions. You'll have the opportunity to leverage AI technologies to analyze large datasets, contribute to process improvements, and develop expertise in risk-based surveillance. As you progress, you'll gain exposure to cutting-edge automation tools and contribute to research and presentation development while building a strong foundation in credit analysis.
- Conduct credit analysis for a portfolio of financial institutions, insurance companies, investment funds and structured finance transactions ensuring accuracy and attention to detail and perform risk-based surveillance.
- Provide timely and precise quarterly financial statistical and data analysis, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Assist in reporting, research, and presentation development, leveraging analytical skills to support research and analysis.
- Collaborate with the team on execution improvements and ad-hoc writing projects, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Utilize AI technologies to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights, integrating them into existing analytical frameworks.
- Support and exchange basic technical or factual information with immediate team and routine stakeholders.
- Take accountability of individual/team targets which will typically be definable but not always financially measurable.
- All employees must work from the office at least 2 days/week.
Basic Required Qualifications:
- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2+ years of experience in credit analysis across financial institutions, insurance companies, and structured finance transactions.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Understanding of rating methodologies and sector frameworks specific to financial institutions, insurance companies, and structured finance.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail for risk-based surveillance activities.
- Proficiency in financial statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.
- Final-stage candidates must attend one in-person interview at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office before offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI and automation tools for financial data analysis and process improvement.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing financial institutions, insurance companies, or structured finance products.
- Familiarity with credit risk management principles and surveillance methodologies.
Desirable to have knowledge of R, Python, or other data processing languages.
