Main Duties & Responsibilities
Position Summary
Responsible for leading the Tool Room operations, including mold maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and new mold construction to support production, new product development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Americas sites. This role ensures tooling reliability, equipment availability, cost control, and technical excellence across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the Tool Room team, including technicians and toolmakers.

Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities for injection molds and tooling.

Coordinate the design, construction, testing, and validation of new molds and pilot molds.

Lead mold construction and maintenance activities supporting manufacturing sites across the Americas region.

Support new product development projects by ensuring tooling readiness and technical feasibility.

Develop and implement tooling improvement plans to increase productivity, quality, and mold life.

Monitor tooling performance indicators, downtime, repair costs, and maintenance efficiency.

Coordinate external suppliers and contractors related to tooling fabrication and refurbishment.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Manage Tool Room budget, tooling investments, and spare parts inventory.

Provide technical support to production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.

Support troubleshooting activities for molding process and tooling issues.
Qualifications
Qualifications

Strong experience in injection molds maintenance and mold construction.

Experience managing Tool Room operations in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, tooling design, and injection molding processes.

Leadership and people management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Advanced communication and project management skills.
Preferred Experience

Packaging, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry experience.

Experience with multi-cavity and high-volume production molds.
