Job Summary

- Develop and maintain Ignition-based SCADA/MES applications for shopfloor systems
- Design HMI screens using Ignition Designer (Vision/Perspective)
- Configure Tags, UDTs, Alarms, and Historian for real-time data capture
- Perform integration with PLCs, OPC UA/DA servers, and external systems
- Work on Python scripting within Ignition for business logic and automation
- Develop and execute queries and database integrations (SQL)
- Support testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications
- Assist in deployment, configuration, and go-live activities
- Provide support and issue resolution for production incidents
- Ignition platform knowledge (Vision / Perspective modules)
- Python scripting (Ignition scripting environment)
- SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- OPC communication (OPC UA/DA) and PLC integration
- Tag Historian, alarms, and reporting modules
Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
