We are seeking an experienced Property Damage Manager to lead our Property Damage department by managing investigations, negotiations, financial recovery, and cross-functional operations that support successful case outcomes.

As our Property Damage Manager, you will oversee the firm's Property Damage operations, ensuring every claim is investigated thoroughly, documented accurately, negotiated effectively, and resolved efficiently.
You'll collaborate closely with attorneys, clients, insurance carriers, contractors, repair facilities, and internal teams to maximize recoveries while maintaining operational excellence and an exceptional client experience.
Your work will directly influence claim resolution timelines, financial recovery, department performance, client satisfaction, and the firm's continued growth.

What You'll Do
Property Damage Claims Management
- Lead and oversee property damage claims from intake through final resolution.
- Ensure timely handling of claims while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Monitor claim progress and proactively remove obstacles that delay case resolution.
- Establish best practices that improve claim handling efficiency and consistency.
Claims Investigation & Damage Assessment
- Oversee investigations involving vehicle, residential, commercial, and other property damage claims.
- Evaluate the cause, extent, and financial impact of damages using documentation, inspections, repair estimates, and supporting evidence.
- Review liability assessments and claim documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify inconsistencies, fraud indicators, or potential claim risks requiring further investigation.
Negotiation & Insurance Recovery
- Lead negotiations with insurance adjusters, carriers, repair facilities, contractors, and third-party vendors.
- Negotiate repair costs, settlement values, total loss determinations, and claim resolutions.
- Advocate for clients by maximizing property damage recoveries while ensuring timely settlements.
- Resolve escalated or complex claims through strategic negotiation and policy interpretation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, contractors, repair shops, engineers, appraisers, and other external partners.
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate closely with attorneys, case managers, and legal support teams to strengthen overall case outcomes.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison for all property damage-related matters.
Compliance, Reporting & Operational Performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare investigation reports, claim summaries, performance dashboards, and operational updates for leadership.
- Monitor departmental KPIs including cycle times, recoveries, claim aging, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within claims management and case management systems.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Lead, mentor, and support Property Damage team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop standardized workflows, procedures, and performance metrics that improve operational efficiency.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that reduce claim cycle times and enhance client satisfaction.
- Support strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm's Property Damage department and long-term growth.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Criminal Justice, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing property damage claims, insurance operations, investigations, or risk management.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a property damage or claims environment.
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, liability assessment, claims handling procedures, and insurance negotiations.
- Experience coordinating with attorneys, insurance carriers, contractors, repair facilities, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional proficiency in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management or legal case management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a Personal Injury Law Firm or insurance carrier.
- Experience managing automotive property damage claims and total loss evaluations.
- Familiarity with Filevine, CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar claims management platforms.
- Experience leading operational teams and implementing process improvements.
- Professional certifications in Claims Management, Insurance, Risk Management, or Leadership.
