Milacron is looking for an HRIS Specialist in El Marqués, Querétaro, México. The HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Specialist role will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, optimization, and support of the global Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This position involves managing employee data, troubleshooting system issues, setting up integrations, internal data audits, and helping ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. The HRIS Specialist may also collaborate with HR and IT teams to enhance system functionality and improve HR processes to improve employee experience. Duties also include providing support and group training where needed. Plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HR data and contributes to the overall efficiency of HR operations. This role also has the potential of helping stand up other future systems.
Work You’ll Do:
- HRIS Administration: Maintain and support HRIS applications, including employee data, organizational structures, security roles, workflows, and system configurations. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot system issues. Coordinate testing and implementation of system upgrades, patches, and new functionality. Manage user access and security permissions in accordance with company policies.
- Project Support: Assist other departments with projects that involve employee data.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity through regular audits and reconciliation activities. Identify/Solve data discrepancies. Develop and maintain data governance standards and documentation.
- User Support: Provide training and support to HR staff and employees on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance system capabilities, working closely with IT and HR teams.
- Compliance: Ensure that the HRIS complies with data protection regulations and organizational policies regarding employee information.
- Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics to support decision-making. Help create PowerBI dashboards. Standing up file/data integrations.
- User Training: Lead training and support to HR staff, Leaders, and employees on HRIS functionalities, processes, and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of HRIS processes, procedures, and user guides for reference and training purposes.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, HR, business, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 plus years of experience in HRIS administration, implementation, or similar role with systems such as Dayforce, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, or ADP.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or database management, datasets, data mapping rules, interfaces, and/or Open API, and integration.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages in a professional business environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HR, Business Administration (with MIS), or a related field is preferred.
- Post Graduate degree or Certificate in Computer Science or HRIP certification.
- Background in IT and/or familiarity with specific HRIS software (Dayforce) is a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL or database management, datasets, mapping rules, interfaces, and/or Open API is advantageous.
- Skilled in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerBI), and data management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful reports.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing sensitive employee information.
Work Environment
- Office-based environment with regular collaboration across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leadership teams. Remote or hybrid work is based on location and policy based.
