About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Plant Manager to lead all Human Resources and Payroll functions at our manufacturing facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving employee engagement, talent development, labor compliance, payroll administration, and organizational effectiveness while supporting overall plant operations and business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines strong HR leadership skills with solid payroll expertise and a deep understanding of Mexican labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Partner with plant leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development programs.
- Develop and execute training, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor regulations, including STPS, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and related requirements.
Payroll & Compensation Administration
- Manage and oversee weekly payroll processing for plant employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of wages, overtime, bonuses, severance, and statutory contributions.
- Maintain compliance with Mexican labor laws and payroll regulations.
- Coordinate payroll audits, tax reporting, and payroll system updates with external partners.
- Safeguard payroll records and maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters.
- Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and grievance processes.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements and company standards.
- Support labor negotiations, regulatory audits, and employment-related legal matters when required.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Analyze and report key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, compensation, and labor costs.
- Support workforce planning, budgeting, and labor cost forecasting activities.
Training & Development
- Identify organizational training needs and coordinate development programs.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure successful integration of new employees.
- Promote continuous learning and career development opportunities throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- At least 3 years of payroll management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican Labor Law (LFT), payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as TRESS, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing organizational change.
- Bilingual English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.

Sueldo: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 al mes
