Responsible for the management of the weekly MPS in order to balance demand and supply within available capacity and set Inventory targets. Orchestrate the cross-functional MPS activities following the GKN Aerospace standard. Depending on the size of the size, own or support the monthly Operations Supply Planning (IBP) activities.
Organize scheduling activities (MPS) beyond the current week and across the entire forecast horizon.
Create and maintain schedules that meet program requirements while balancing inventory goals and optimizing site capacity.
Ensure schedules are feasible and balanced with proven resources and capacity.
Incorporate entry/exit, localization, transfer plans, and new program development/prototyping.
Align schedules with agreed work calendars, including planned downtime.
Provide input for scheduling and material requirements planning (MRP).
Proactively communicate and escalate potential MPS issues to management to trigger preventive actions.
Support performance operations vs schedules, analyzing deviations, and driving improvements.
Assist Program Management in analyzing possible RM impacts to identify improvement opportunities.
Provide feedback to Programs regarding supply risks and forecast accuracy improvements.
Monitor KPIs and apply PDCA methodology with A3 problem-solving to ensure sustainable target achievement (e.g., Master Schedule Fulfillment, Overdue Customer Installments, Days Out of Inventory).
Analyze adherence to the Master Program and ensure system master data is updated for planning and scheduling purposes covering a 36-month horizon.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science.
English: Fluent.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Planning or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
- Strong analytical capability and problem‑solving mindset.
- Expert-level knowledge in Operations Supply Planning, MPS, and MRP.
- Practitioner-level skills in forecasting and demand planning, daily scheduling and execution, master data management, inventory management, internal flow and warehousing, plus leadership “soft skills.”
- Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, effective communication, teamwork, self‑motivation, proactive, continuous improvement, results orientation with urgency and ability to manage complex schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
- Requirement: Schedule flexibility, availability to travel. Visa and Passport (desirable).
