Payroll Specialist – Nursing Home Company (Remote)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday ( 9am-5pm EST)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing nursing home organization. The ideal candidate will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll issues, and supporting HR with payroll-related functions. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple nursing home facilities.
- Review and verify employee timesheets, attendance records, overtime, and paid time off.
- Ensure payroll complies with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
- Respond promptly to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee status changes and benefits deductions.
- Generate payroll reports for management as needed.
- Assist with payroll audits and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous payroll experience required (healthcare or nursing home experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and payroll systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR and management.

Pay: $18,000.00 - $22,000.00 per month
