Job Overview
Join us as an Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Facilities Manager, where your technical expertise in safety and compliance meets your passion for corporate responsibility. You won’t just manage checklists; you will lead a cultural shift toward proactive EHS awareness and support our global journey toward transparent ESG disclosure. What you’ll do:
Lead Culture: Move from compliance-led to culture-led safety by engaging teams at every level of the Mexico organization with sites in Matamoros, Tamaulipas and distributed workforce across the country.
Enable Growth: Oversee facilities operations, new start up projects, emergency preparedness, and environmental protocols with high attention to detail.
Report Impact: Serve as a key contributor to our Global ESG protocol, utilizing frameworks like GRI and SASB, Science-based targets initiative, SBTi, and RBA to communicate our sustainability progress to stakeholders.
This position reports to the Global EHSS and Facilities Director and will be on-site at our Matamoros, Tamaulipas Manufacturing Plant.
Responsibilities
As the EHSS & Facilities Manager you will:

Maintain compliance according to EHS local, state, and federal regulations applicable to the business.

Develop and implement EHS programs and processes to attain full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Ensure effectiveness of EHS plans and programs and make changes on a consistent basis when required.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine the root causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned. Report incidents to relevant authorities as required and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Create and drive Mexico’s sustainability vision, goals, and strategies in alignment with environmental, social, and economic priorities. Assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and set targets for sustainability performance. Implement practices to reduce energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste generation, and pollution.

Engage with sourcing, HR, and other cross-functional teams and stakeholders that contribute to the ESG reporting requirements and communications.

Manage all financials related to EHSS and Facilities management, including invoices, expense management, and cost analysis to optimize expenses.

Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facilities modifications, expansions and new sites.

Performs annual/as needed site assessments to determine the need for facility improvements and/or renovations.

Tracks and coordinates the scheduling and funding of capital projects in conjunction with the Plant Management and HQ leaders.

Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Provide technical and regulatory support to operation teams.

Develop and deploy initiatives to maintain and improve EHS culture and employee engagement.

Maintain facilities maintenance program according to schedule.

Ensure well function of facilities critical equipment.

Security management through appropriate resources, programs and controls.

Oversee employees in following areas: Medical Department, Safety, Environmental, Security and Facilities Maintenance.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s in occupational, health & safety, environmental, engineering or related field, equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in safety compliance and sustainability management.

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management.

Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and capital projects.

Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
Desirable Characteristics

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Strong Electrical Safety experience.

Experience in Risk Assessment Process.

Experience in High-Risk Operations.

Experience in Hazard Recognition.

Familiarity with energy management, GHG emissions and sustainability (ESG) reports.

Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.

Certification in facility management or safety is a plus.
