Opportunity
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Elementary Spanish Course & Curriculum Developer to join our growing educational team.
This is a part-time, contract position focused on the creation of complete Spanish courses for elementary students in a live virtual learning environment. You will be responsible for developing courses from concept to launch, including course frameworks, learning objectives, unit plans, lesson plans, activities, assessments, teacher guides, student materials, and course listing pages.
Our students are English speakers learning Spanish as a second language. Therefore, candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and understand how to teach Spanish concepts to English-speaking children in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
In addition to curriculum development, this role includes creating compelling course listing pages that clearly communicate the course experience, learning outcomes, student benefits, and value of each course to parents. The ideal candidate can not only build an excellent course but can also effectively present that course in a way that encourages enrollment and accurately reflects the learning experience.
This is a fully remote position with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complete elementary Spanish courses for live virtual instruction.
- Create course outlines, scope and sequence documents, learning objectives, unit plans, and pacing guides.
- Develop engaging lesson plans, teacher guides, worksheets, assessments, projects, and student activities.
- Design curriculum specifically for delivery through Zoom and other virtual learning platforms.
- Create vocabulary, conversation, listening, reading, and writing activities for elementary Spanish learners.
- Write engaging course listing pages that clearly explain course content, learning outcomes, course structure, and student benefits.
- Create course titles, descriptions, summaries, and enrollment-facing content for families considering enrollment.
- Translate curriculum goals and educational outcomes into parent-friendly language.
- Ensure consistency between curriculum content and published course descriptions.
- Collaborate with instructional staff to ensure courses are practical and effective for virtual delivery.
- Review and revise curriculum and course listings based on feedback and program needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, Curriculum & Instruction, Linguistics, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Experience teaching Spanish to English-speaking learners preferred.
- Experience developing educational curriculum, online courses, or instructional materials.
- Strong writing, copywriting, and content-development skills.
- Ability to create engaging course descriptions and enrollment-focused course listing pages.
- Strong understanding of elementary language acquisition and instructional best practices.
- Experience designing curriculum for virtual or online learning environments preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Compensation
Pay is $8 USD per hour. Compensation is fixed and non-negotiable.
