Job Summary
A confidential company is seeking a proactive, customer-focused, and self-motivated Inside Sales Representative to join its sales team.
This position is responsible for supporting existing customers, identifying new sales opportunities, assisting Regional Sales Managers located in the United States, and serving as a liaison between customers, sales, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate must have advanced English proficiency and be able to communicate fluently and professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers located in the United States.
About this Job
This is a primarily remote position available only to candidates currently residing in Nuevo León.
Candidates must be available to work onsite one day per week when required at one of the following office locations:
- Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León
The company will provide the necessary computer equipment and hardware.
Schedule
Monday through Friday:
- 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monterrey time during U.S. daylight saving time, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Monterrey time when U.S. daylight saving time ends
Candidates must be comfortable working according to the U.S. Eastern Time schedule throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with existing and prospective customers located in the United States.
- Serve as the internal account coordinator for assigned customers.
- Follow up on customer requests, quotes, orders, and delivery status.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities and customer accounts.
- Support Regional Sales Managers in the United States.
- Prepare quotes and follow up with customers throughout the sales process.
- Enter and maintain customer orders accurately in SAP and other internal systems.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Provide customers with information regarding products, pricing, availability, applications, lead times, and credit terms.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and business requirements.
- Maintain ongoing communication and support for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate product samples, catalogs, and other sales materials.
- Identify prospective customers through business directories, referrals, existing accounts, and other available leads.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, product innovations, pricing, and sales trends.
- Assist with obtaining and processing credit information for prospective customers.
- Communicate customer orders and requirements to the manufacturing team.
- Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer concerns or complaints.
- Provide customer service that strengthens customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
- Share information regarding sales opportunities, customer needs, and market activity with the sales team.
- Support other Inside Sales Representatives with the development and maintenance of customer accounts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. College or technical education is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in inside sales, sales support, call center sales, account coordination, or customer service.
- Previous experience supporting customers in the United States is strongly preferred.
- Experience with steel products, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial products is a plus.
- Must currently reside in Nuevo León and have the ability to travel to Guadalupe or Ciénega de Flores when required.
English Requirement
Advanced English proficiency is required.
Candidates must be able to:
- Maintain fluent conversations in English.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers in the United States.
- Participate confidently in phone calls and virtual meetings.
- Write clear and professional emails, quotes, and customer communications.
Applicants who do not meet the advanced English requirement will not be considered for this position.
Software Knowledge
- Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Google Workspace.
- Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other videoconferencing platforms.
- SAP or a similar ERP system.
- CRM platforms.
- General computer and data-entry skills.
- QlikView, Power BI, or similar reporting tools are a plus.
