Job Description
Own a portfolio of Mexican high-value buyers (VIP / Big / Rising), driving their GMV growth, tier upgrade/retention, and platform engagement end to end.
Proactively reach out to buyers via phone, email, and WhatsApp; build relationships, run discovery, and convert outreach into meetings and active accounts.
Conduct structured buyer interviews to capture each buyer's business profile, annual revenue, sourcing needs, and core pain points; maintain accurate, up-to-date buyer records.
Drive adoption of buyer benefits — Pay Later / payment terms, CoCreate, inspection, buyer community, and AccioWork — matching the right benefit to each buyer's scale and need.
Track and report on key metrics: tier upgrade/retention rate, Terms activation, outreach-to-meeting funnel, and GMV contribution.
Coordinate with logistics, payment, and customer service teams to resolve buyer issues (shipment delays, IP/brand concerns, CS escalations) that directly impact GMV.
Position Requirement
Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) — you will work daily with local Mexican buyers and Alibaba's regional/global teams.
2+ years in account management / customer success / KA operations / inside sales or related buyer- or client-facing roles.
Comfortable with proactive outbound — confident running buyer calls and discovery conversations, not just reactive support.
Strong with data: able to track buyers via dashboards, KPIs, and Excel/Google Sheets, and use the numbers to prioritize.
Self-driven and structured — able to manage a large buyer portfolio with disciplined follow-through in a target-driven environment.
Plus: experience with B2B e-commerce or marketplace buyers (Alibaba.com / Amazon / MercadoLibre), familiarity with sourcing/procurement workflows, or B2B financing/payment-terms products.
