We are seeking a Solution Architect to design mission-critical lab automation systems, drive Business Process Automation (BPA) initiatives and build scalable software architectures within an Agile and ITIL-managed environment.
Responsibilities

Architect robust, standardized integration layers that align automation systems with LIMS workflows

Implement fault-tolerant patterns, state management and recovery mechanisms for device and network failures

Deliver comprehensive monitoring, logging and device telemetry to ensure system reliability
-
Design, model and govern a scalable, decoupled business rules engine
-
Maintain rule versioning, traceability and safe deployment without disrupting operations
-
Build scalable, modular systems with independent frontend and backend evolution
-
Apply caching, async processing and secure-by-design practices across the architecture
-
Define and document contract-first APIs, including versioning and secure interfaces
-
Guarantee full auditability and end-to-end traceability of experimental data flows
-
Coach engineers through code reviews, pair programming and architecture walkthroughs

Foster autonomy, knowledge sharing and full-stack system thinking across teams

Drive features end-to-end, prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
Requirements
-
1+ years of experience in solution architecture, with background in lab automation environments including LIMS and device integration and Business Process Automation using rules engines

Proficiency in Go (Golang), Ruby and Elixir
-
Advanced knowledge of Ruby on Rails and Phoenix Framework

Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), NoSQL and key-value stores

Expertise in REST, GraphQL and gRPC APIs
-
Skills in AWS services including Elastic Container Service (ECS), Simple Storage Service (S3) and Application Load Balancer (ALB)

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

Advanced competency in Git, code review best practices and branching/merging strategies

Understanding of unit testing, integration testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and continuous learning adaptability

Proven experience in ITIL-managed organizations, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent cross-functional communication
