General Job Description Sanmina is seeking a Support IT Compliance Analyst to ensure our organization’s adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act. You will be responsible for the ongoing preparation, testing, and monitoring of internal controls to guarantee conformance with SOX sections 302 and 404. This role is vital for identifying risks and evaluating deficiencies within our IT and financial systems, ensuring the integrity of our global operational and strategic controls.
THE ROLE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in internal/external audit, IT compliance, or risk management.
- Focus: SOX 404/302 compliance, IT General Controls (ITGC), and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- SOX Conformance: Assist with the initial compliance and ongoing monitoring of SOX requirements.
- Internal Control Evaluation: Perform evaluations of internal controls, risk assessments, and maintain rigorous documentation for SOX sections 302 and 404.
- Auditing: Conduct ongoing SOX audits, assessing financial, operational, and strategic risks across the organization.
- Remediation: Identify risk and evaluate deficiencies, working closely with internal departments to implement appropriate remedies.
- Reporting: Communicate audit results and prepare comprehensive written reports for management, disclosing all significant deficiencies.
- Training: Facilitate internal training sessions on SOX compliance requirements for various business units.
Required Knowledge and Skills Essential Technical Knowledge:
- Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and GAAP standards.
- Software Systems: Experience using enterprise-wide software systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- Tools: Proficiency in Visio (for process mapping) and various desktop applications.
- Audit Tools: Familiarity with SOX Express or similar compliance databases is a plus.
Plus Skills (Desirable):
- Expertise in interpreting SOP 97-2.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with global operations.
Soft Skills:
- Advanced English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Mandatory).
- Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to identify patterns in data and evaluate system deficiencies.
- Project Management: Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage audit timelines.
- Integrity: High level of ethical standards and professional skepticism.
