Process Engineering Manager
Responsibility description
Cost reduction leadership of overall plan scrap and rework
Collaborate during the NPI process to design, standardize
and document a feasible (economically and technically)
manufacturing process that meet product requirements; and
during production series assure that such approved process
is maintained and carried out under controlled conditions
Develop effective process methods and standards to meet
customer and company requirements
Assure proper maintenance of all tooling, fixtures, dies and
other devices required for product manufacturing
Directs the investigation and initiation of unique and highly
technical manufacturing problems, and provide all necessary
technical assistance for their resolution
Focuses group to meet and improve yield objectives
Implement projects for waste reduction (hazardous and not
hazardous) and optimization of different utilities (NG,
electricity, water, gases, etc.
Ensure that due attention is given to product quality issues in
a timely manner, supporting with technical knowledge for the
identification of the root cause and the implementation of
corrective actions
Work closely with the management group to improve overall
productivity, cost reduction, and profitability within the
operation
Recommend alterations to development and design to
improve quality of products and/or procedures
Direct on -the-job training activities to ensure that operators
acquire and develop the required competencies to perform
and control the production process as it is designed
