Project Manager
Location: Torreón, Coahuila, México
Position Summary
Sunstrong International México is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate new product development and manufacturing projects from project initiation through mass production. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while managing cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and customer requirements.
The successful candidate must possess strong project management capabilities, manufacturing experience, excellent customer communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced EMS environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead multiple customer projects from project kickoff through mass production.
· Manage the complete product lifecycle, including planning, development, prototype, validation, pilot builds, and production launch.
· Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal cross-functional teams.
· Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action plans.
· Coordinate activities across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
· Monitor project progress and ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations.
· Conduct project risk assessments and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
· Manage project timelines, priorities, budgets, and resource allocation.
· Facilitate regular project meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
· Prepare project status reports, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations.
· Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change management activities.
· Drive issue resolution through structured problem-solving methodologies.
· Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.
· Promote continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing manufacturing or electronics industry projects.
· Demonstrated success managing projects from concept through production launch and project closure.
· Strong understanding of product development processes and manufacturing workflows.
· Experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
· Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
· Excellent customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
· Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Availability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
· Agile Project Management Certification.
· Scrum Master Certification.
· Experience working within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
· Experience with PCBA manufacturing and New Product Introduction.
· Familiarity with ERP systems and project management software (Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar).
