Controls Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer with strong experience in Siemens automation systems to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, programming, commissioning, and support of industrial control systems, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of automated equipment.
This role requires strong technical expertise in PLC programming, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs (Step 7 and TIA Portal)
- Develop and modify control logic for industrial automation systems
- Support commissioning and startup activities in manufacturing environments
- Diagnose and resolve issues in control systems and automated equipment
- Interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical documentation
- Support ongoing automation projects and engineering improvements
- Perform PLC migrations (S7-300 / S7-400 to S7-1200 / S7-1500)
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams
- Provide technical support during installation and production phases
- Ensure documentation of programs, modifications, and technical changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Experience in Siemens PLC programming (Step 7 and TIA Portal required)
- Strong understanding of industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams
- Experience in commissioning/startup activities (preferred)
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks (Profinet, Profibus) is a plus
- Basic to intermediate English proficiency (preferred)
