Production & Operations
- Supervise assembly processes and ensure achievement of shift-based production targets.
- Organize production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise production personnel (operators and line technicians).
- Develop and manage shift schedules, including workstation assignments and rotations, employee training, vacation planning, overtime allocation, coverage for absenteeism, and shift meetings.
- Ensure production lines operate according to daily and weekly production plans.
- Address line stoppages and coordinate issue resolution with Maintenance and/or Engineering.
- Apply corrective actions in response to process or product deviations.
Performance & KPIs
- Document, monitor, and lead production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Report and analyze production metrics such as scrap, OEE, and efficiency.
- Promote standard work adherence across teams and operators.
Quality
- Control and monitor product quality to ensure compliance with defined specifications.
- Verify compliance with quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Participate in internal and external audits (quality, customer, safety).
Maintenance & Equipment
- Ensure personnel perform autonomous maintenance and TPM activities.
- Maintain equipment and machinery in proper operating condition.
Workplace Organization & Safety
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area, including completion of shift-related documentation.
- Enforce order, cleanliness, and discipline within the area (5S).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff.
People Development
- Support training initiatives for operators and new hires.
- Promote cross-training, multi-skilling, and continuous employee development.
- Encourage employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Environmental Responsibilities
- Ensure proper waste segregation at the point of generation (process-level).
- Ensure personnel receive training to respond to environmental emergencies (e.g., spills).
- Ensure new employees participate in achieving environmental objectives (reduction of electricity, water, gas, hazardous waste, special waste, and municipal solid waste).
- Enforce 5S standards within all operational areas.
- Ensure proper use of waste stations for control and final disposal.
- Support identification of environmental aspects within the area, especially when introducing new processes.
- Encourage continuous improvement ideas focused on environmental protection and sustainability.
Health, Safety & Working Conditions (SST / H&S)
- Ensure personnel have basic knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Verify proper identification and labeling of chemicals.
- Ensure personnel use PPE according to identified workplace risks.
- Ensure personnel receive emergency response training (fire, evacuation, first aid).
- Enforce safety rules related to machinery and equipment to prevent unnecessary risks.
- Ensure facilities, equipment, machinery, and tools are respected and properly maintained.
- Ensure safety signage is respected and never obstructed.
- Encourage continuous improvement ideas related to safety, health, ergonomics, and workplace environment.
