Job Summary
The Network & Structured Cabling Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure, structured cabling systems, and related equipment across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with Fortinet products, network configuration, and physical cabling installations.
Responsibilities Network Infrastructure
- Configure and maintain FortiGate firewalls.
- Manage and support FortiSwitch environments.
- Configure VLANs, trunk ports, and port security settings.
- Implement NAT, firewall policies, and basic routing configurations.
- Perform firmware upgrades and maintain system backups.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues.
- Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Install cable trays, cable ladders, conduits, and raceways.
- Pull, route, and dress UTP cabling according to industry standards.
- Perform horizontal and vertical cable management.
- Install wall plates, faceplates, and desktop outlets.
- Manage patch cords and workstation-side connectivity.
- Label and document all cable drops and network ports.
Qualifications Required
- 2+ years of experience in structured cabling and network support.
- Experience with FortiGate firewall administration.
- Experience with VLANs, switching, NAT, and routing concepts.
- Hands-on experience terminating and testing Cat 6 cabling.
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA structured cabling standards.
- Ability to read floor plans and network diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with cable certification testers and network testing tools.
Work Schedule
- Wednesday (Miercoles) to Friday (Viernes) : 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday (Sabado - Domingo) : 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sueldo: $30,000.00 al mes
