We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst with Product Ownership responsibilities to take end-to-end ownership of a Bill of Materials web application with complex financial calculations and limited existing documentation. You will drive discovery, document business logic, and guide delivery while serving as the go-to expert—apply now to help shape the product’s next evolution.
Responsibilities

Own the product’s business logic, including financial calculations, formulas, and summarization rules

Validate monetary calculations by analyzing formulas, rounding behavior, and aggregation logic

Serve as the single source of truth for application behavior across flows, edge cases, and exceptions

Reverse-engineer existing system behavior to recover undocumented business processes

Document end-to-end business flows, including happy paths, error scenarios, and dependencies

Build and maintain a living knowledge base of business rules, decision trees, and process maps

Create user-facing documentation such as guides, manuals, and FAQs to enable self-service adoption

Lead discovery sessions to identify needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities

Translate findings into well-structured EPICs and user stories with clear scope and value

Write Gherkin acceptance criteria to ensure shared understanding and testability

Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align outcomes with delivery capacity

Ensure end-to-end traceability from discovery through implementation and validation

Set expectations on scope, timelines, and trade-offs while managing difficult stakeholder dynamics

Facilitate alignment across conflicting viewpoints and drive decisions constructively
Requirements

5+ years of experience in business analysis and product ownership for web applications

Experience translating business needs into EPICs, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Strong leadership skills to lead discovery sessions and drive decisions with stakeholders

Proven stakeholder management skills to handle high-friction conversations and set expectations

Strong requirements engineering skills with Gherkin (Given/When/Then) for testable acceptance criteria

Strong documentation skills to reverse-engineer and document legacy or undocumented systems

Strong analytical skills to validate complex financial formulas, rounding rules, and aggregation logic

High attention to detail for numerical data and edge-case handling

Strong communication skills with assertive, respectful pushback when needed

Strong problem-solving skills to work independently with ambiguity and incomplete information

Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) for professional collaboration and documentation

Experience with financial or accounting applications or Bill of Materials systems
