Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

Performs electrical calculations, such as load calculations, short-circuit, protection coordination, voltage drop, etc., using specialized tools and spreadsheets, as assigned and based on the employee’s experience and project needs.

Prepares and updates technical specifications, load lists, and equipment and material lists (BOM).

Models and/or reviews electrical design documents in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM) to ensure proper coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, architectural, civil, etc.), as assigned.

Addresses comments from internal quality reviews (QA/QC) and from clients, making the necessary design adjustments.

Participates in coordination meetings with local and international multidisciplinary teams supporting U.S. projects.

Develops and supports the review of low- and medium-voltage electrical designs for building and industrial/commercial facility projects (drawings, one-line diagrams, layouts, conduit routing, etc.), under appropriate supervision and with increasing responsibility based on demonstrated capability.

Supports bidding and construction-phase activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing vendor and contractor submittals, and supporting clash resolution, with guidance appropriate to experience and assigned responsibility.

Supports the technical development of the electrical discipline on assigned projects, from conceptual phases through detailed design, with responsibility increasing based on experience, demonstrated capability, and project assignment.

Maintains project documentation up to date in SSOE internal platforms and project management tools.

Coordinates closely with project leaders, project managers, and discipline leads to ensure compliance with schedule and scope.

Contributes to the continuous improvement of standards, templates, and best practices for the electrical discipline in the business unit.
Qualifications:
What You Will Bring:

Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related field.

Professional license in Mexico is required (Título and Cédula Profesional).

Two to five (2 - 5) years of directly related experience

Working knowledge of electrical design fundamentals for building and industrial/commercial facility projects is required. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: low- and medium-voltage power systems, lighting, load calculations, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, voltage-drop calculations, AutoCAD, Revit MEP/BIM, and electrical-code application.

Knowledge and application of electrical codes and standards applicable to building and facility projects (for example, NEC / NFPA 70, NOM-001-SEDE, NOM-STPS and other U.S. codes when applicable, as well as local regulations).

Proficient use of AutoCAD for drawing development and review is preferred.

Experience with Revit MEP/BIM (modeling or reviewing electrical models) is preferred.

Advanced English level
Desirable Skills:

Proficiency with specialized electrical analysis software: ETAP, SKM Power Tools, EasyPower, DIALux, AGi32, or others as applicable.
