Job Overview
We are seeking an SEO & Website Optimization Specialist to join our growing remote team. This role is ideal for someone who can drive measurable results in search rankings while optimizing website performance across platforms like WordPress and Squarespace.
You will play a key role in improving organic visibility, increasing traffic, and supporting overall digital growth through both technical and on-page SEO strategies.
Duties
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve search rankings and organic traffic
- Perform detailed website audits and implement actionable improvements
- Optimize on-page elements including meta tags, headings, content structure, and internal linking
- Handle technical SEO fixes such as site speed optimization, crawl errors, indexing issues, and schema markup
- Manage and optimize websites within WordPress and Squarespace
- Conduct keyword research and map keywords to high-converting content
- Analyze competitors and identify ranking opportunities
- Track, measure, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align SEO with business goals
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and evolving best practices
Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in SEO and website optimization (agency or in-house)
- Proven track record of ranking websites (e.g., moving pages from page 3 to page 1) with measurable results (traffic, rankings, conversions)
- Experience working with WordPress and/or Squarespace, including plugin management and SEO configurations
- On-page SEO (meta tags, internal linking, content optimization, keyword placement)
- Technical SEO (site speed optimization, indexing, crawlability, schema markup, mobile optimization)
- Experience conducting full SEO audits and implementing fixes independently
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms
- Experience with keyword research, search intent, and content strategy development
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable SEO strategies
- Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals and improving overall website performance
- Understanding of URL structures, redirects (301/302), canonical tags, and site architecture
- Ability to manage multiple websites or projects simultaneously in a remote environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred:
- Experience with website backend management
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Experience with local SEO or service-based businesses
- Strong communication skills (English preferred)
- Visa or ability to obtain (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $5,500.00 - $7,000.00 per week
