Mercer
We are seeking a talented individual to join Mercer . This role will be based either in Mexico, Colombia or Brazil . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The LATAM M&A Business Development & Delivery Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting business development within the Private Equity and Corporate M&A markets in Latam. Working closely with Marsh PEMA and other Marsh organizations, you will drive growth opportunities and ensure the highest standards of service delivery across.
We will count on you to:
- Support and drive business development initiatives targeting Private Equity firms and Corporate M&A clients in the designated regions
- Collaborate effectively with Marsh PEMA and other Marsh entities to leverage cross-organizational expertise and resources
- Identify and engage key decision-makers involved in M&A transactions to establish and deepen Mercer’s client relationships
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of Mercer’s M&A services, ensuring excellence in quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Manage cross-border and cross-functional project teams to deliver integrated solutions tailored to client needs
- Lead and assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to support client acquisition and retention
- Foster knowledge sharing and capability building within Mercer and partner organizations related to M&A services
- Represent Mercer at industry events, contribute to thought leadership through articles and presentations, and enhance Mercer’s market presence
What do you need to have :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in M&A, with a strong focus on business development and client management in Private Equity and Corporate M&A markets.
- Proven ability to collaborate across organizations and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Deep understanding of the M&A landscapes in LATAM, including cultural and regulatory nuances.
- Strategic thinking and growth mindset.
- Strong skills to transfer knowledge to the local team, support expansion and develop complex.
- Excellent communication skills in English and at least one of the regional languages (Spanish, Portuguese)
- Experience leading cross-border projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
What make you stand out:
- Not necessarily but considered as a plus to have experience working with Marsh or other Marsh companies.
- Master’s degree is desirable.
- Familiarity with Private Equity investment processes and corporate transaction structures.
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling client presentations and thought leadership content.
