What will you do?
The Manufacturing Engineer in the Test Field is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving the processes associated with the final validation of products within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures that testing activities are efficiently integrated into the production workflow, optimizing time, resources, layouts, and work methods.
He or she acts as a liaison between manufacturing, quality, and testing, ensuring that processes are repeatable, safe, and aligned with production and product release requirements.
Responsibilities
Testing Area Process Design and Optimization
- Design and improve testing area layouts, considering product flow, safety, and ergonomics.
- Integrate the testing area into the overall production flow (end-of-line).
- Define and standardize validation processes from a manufacturing perspective.
- Optimize the sequence of operations to reduce cycle time and waste.
- Time and Capacity Analysis
- Conduct time and motion studies (MTM, Modapts).
- Perform workload balance in the testing area.
- Define installed capacity and headcount requirements.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in validation processes.
- Process Standardization and Control
- Develop work instructions and operating standards for testing.
- Ensure the proper implementation of repeatable and controlled processes.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department (test time, efficiency, throughput).
- Manage technical documentation and release criteria from manufacturing.
Equipment and Tool Integration
- Participate in the definition and layout of test equipment within the facility.
- Ensure the availability and proper sizing of tools and workstations.
- Collaborate on equipment validation from a process perspective (capacity, time, flow).
- Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean initiatives in the testing area (waste elimination, continuous flow).
- Apply Value Stream Mapping (VSM) focused on the product release process.
- Analyze operational data to improve productivity and reduce variability.
- Lead improvement initiatives to reduce rework and waiting times.

Required Profile
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- +3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production processes
- Experience with assembly lines and validation/testing areas
- Experience with electrical products
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and line balancing
- English proficiency at the B2 level
