Purpose of Role:
Define and implement HSES compliance strategies specific to development of the Zama Project, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and regulatory frameworks.
Identify and assurance compliance with HSES Permits, Licences, Authorizations, Notifications and Consents required for the Zama Project.
Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to enhance the HSES performance, driving continuous improvement in HSES practices and compliance across the department.
Serve as a key advisor on HSES matters, providing expert guidance to ensure that development activities comply with both local and international HSES standards and legislation.
Facilitate the integration of HSES compliance into all development project phases, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Asure compliance with HSES MS approved by ASEA.
Critical Responsibilities (MAE/MATTE/HSES*):
Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.
Develop and implement HSES procedures to meet regulatory requirements tailored for the Zama Project.
Conduct regular HSES audits to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities:
Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
Compliance & Risk
Ensure adherence to all relevant HSES compliance regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance in development projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSES legislation and best practices applicable to the oil and gas industry.
Project Support
Provide HSES input during the planning and execution stages of development projects.
Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSES considerations into project scopes and objectives.
Review and endorse HSES-related documents and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary HSES contact for internal stakeholders.
Facilitate communication and training sessions on HSES best practices and compliance requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external HSES consultants and specialists.
Continuous Improvement
Drive the implementation of HSES initiatives and programs to improve safety and environmental performance.
Analyse HSES compliance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and adaptation within the HSES discipline.
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:
Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of HSES regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the oil and gas sector.
Expertise in HSES regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the oil and gas sector.
Proficient in the use of compliance software and integrating reports for regulatory authorities.
Proficiency in conducting audits.
Non-Technical Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation and external parties.
Ability to lead by example and foster a culture of safety and compliance.
Professional Experience
Extensive experience in HSES roles within the oil and gas industry.
Education
Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Language
Spanish: Proficient (written and spoken).
English: Intermediate or above.
