KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Management:
- Ensure procedures are current and followed consistently by all members.
- Exhibit a high regard for customer satisfaction and supplier partnering.
- Lead or facilitate Quality and Process Improvement projects.
- Represent the Quality Department in customer and vendor meetings both on and off site.
Quality Duties
- Participates in new product and process development to ensure product was built as per customer requirements.
- Will be the lead person handling first article product builds and setting up process appropriate controls for the product builds.
- Implement quality improvement projects using proven engineering techniques.
- Sets up appropriate inspection and sampling plans to assess product quality.
- Conducts internal audits and acts as liaison for onsite Customer audits.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineer and Operations on process improvement projects to drive efficiencies, improve safety and reduce overall costs.
- Investigate Customer Complaints and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions.
- Conduct data analysis for Customer Returns, Customer Corrective Actions, Customer complaints, and Supplier Corrective Actions.
- Train and provide guidance to Operations leads & Quality Technicians in doing in process and final inspections.
Quality Analysis
- Using Quality Data, identify cost saving opportunities and work with corresponding functional owners in reducing overall business costs.
- Assist with trend analysis for audit, customer returns, corrective actions and customer requests and complaints.
- Ensure that proper inspection requirements are in place based on current and historical inventory problems.
Audits
- Lead Internal audits and ensure compliance to ISO9001 & TL9000 standards.
- Take an active role in best practice auditing exercises.
- Generate action items from audit findings and partner with internal and external key players to put corrective actions into place.
- Maintain records of the nature of non-conformities during internal audits and of any subsequent actions taken, and ensure involvement of appropriate personnel to address these situations.
- Quality contact for Customers and Suppliers
Technical Support
- Report status of projects and programs to Quality management according to schedules.
- Develop teams to assist in project development and completion.
- Investigate suggestions, ideas and concepts from employees, at the direction of Quality management.
- Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of methods, processes, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
- Provide technical support to all employees and customers regarding quality, UL & CSA labeling matters.
Records
- Complete and maintain all required records, files, paperwork and documentation.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Maintain equipment calibration records and schedules.
Training
- Present quality briefings to new and current employees as required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Education and/or Experience: A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. 1+ years of SAP configuration preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations: A valid driver’s license and an ability to obtain a passport. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) & ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is preferred.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Applications Skills: Ability to work in a Windows environment, to work with your department’s business applications and with standard current computer applications, including SAP & Sales Force.
