We are looking for a Senior DSE Specialist to join our team. This role is well suited for a technically versatile professional who is comfortable moving between platform administration, development, and architecture discussions. You will work in a setting that values independent thinking and direct engagement with client stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the evolution of a modern data platform.
Responsibilities
-
Administer the Snowflake instance, including warehouses, databases, resource monitors, and cost management
-
Provision users and roles while managing RBAC, security, and permissions across the platform
-
Support end users by troubleshooting access issues, query performance concerns, and data availability problems
-
Maintain a strong governance posture across the platform to ensure consistency and compliance
-
Write SQL for both DDL and analytical querying purposes
-
Use and modify existing CI/CD pipelines to support Snowflake deployments
-
Contribute to semantic model development, quality assurance, and governance practices
-
Apply AI capabilities within Snowflake, with a preference for leveraging Cortex
-
Partner with the client's data architect to implement and extend the medallion architecture
-
Contribute to data modeling decisions across bronze, silver, and gold layers
Requirements
-
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with Snowflake or a similar technology
-
Strong SQL skills, including DDL, complex query writing, and performance tuning
-
Experience with Snowflake administration, including RBAC, warehouses, resource monitors, and security configuration
-
Data modeling experience, with the ability to discuss medallion, dimensional, or vault approaches and their trade-offs
-
Production experience with either dbt or Snowflake Streams & Tasks, beyond basic familiarity
-
CI/CD experience, with comfort working within and modifying existing pipelines; exposure to Terraform is a plus, and at minimum, a clear understanding of its purpose is expected
-
Some development background in any language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, reflecting a developer mindset rather than a purely SQL-focused approach
-
Experience applying AI/LLM capabilities in a data context, with strong preference given to Snowflake Cortex experience
-
Solid theoretical grounding in semantic model development, quality assurance, and governance
-
Comfort working directly with client stakeholders, including architects and full-time employees, without an intermediary scrum team buffer
-
Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have

Experience with data analysis to support insight generation and informed decision-making
-
Familiarity with Python for scripting, automation, or data manipulation tasks
