We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who will play a key role in ensuring
accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong accounting processes, and supporting
business decisions through financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will have experience in month-end close activities, inventory accounting,
accruals, fixed assets, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position
offers significant exposure across multiple business functions and the opportunity to grow
into a future leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Lead monthly close activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Oversee inventory reconciliation processes and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Partner with Operations teams to improve inventory controls and reporting.
- Record inventory adjustments when required.
Accruals & Expense Management
- Manage monthly accrual processes.
- Perform vendor and account-level expense analysis.
- Monitor operational and marketing expenditures.
- Support working capital optimization initiatives.
Fixed Assets & Prepaids
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Manage prepaid expenses and related accounting schedules.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of long-term assets.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Support audit preparation and year-end close activities.
- Maintain accounting documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff when needed.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Requirements
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- CPA certification or active CPA candidacy.
- Experience working in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Experience using Bill.com.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience.
