Job Summary:
JANA is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support the development of aerospace engineering projects. Unlike traditional design roles, this position focuses on interpreting OEM and regulatory data (Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives) and transforming it into actionable engineering documentation that enables efficient aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications.
This role requires strong technical judgment, critical thinking, and collaboration across multiple airline departments to ensure safe, compliant, and optimized execution of engineering projects. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documents, manuals, and guides for aeronautical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical concepts.
- Utilize Microsoft tools for documentation creation and management.
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.
- Review and edit documents for clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
Core Functions:
1. OEM Service Bulletins and General A/C Documentation (AMM, IPC, FIM, WDM, etc.)
2. Airworthiness Directives (FAA, EASA, TCCA, etc.)
- Develop complete engineering documentation packages including, but not limited to:
1. Technical substantiation
2. Bills of materials and tooling requirements
3. Customized work instructions aligned to customer standards
- Integrate engineering judgment to improve clarity and execution of OEM documentation.
- Coordinate with airline/OEM/FAA operational teams to support maintenance planning, scheduling, and accomplishment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and customer-specific requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation quality, and execution efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering (highly preferred due to familiarity with aircraft systems).
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and certification concepts.
- Deep understanding of how aircraft systems actually work (not just theory).
- Strong logic, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to simplify complex information.
