Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location:CDMX (Polonco), MX
Employment Type: Full-time / Hybrid
SUMMARY: We are looking for a responsible, hard-working Senior Accountant that will report directly to the Assistant Controller and work with the finance team to accomplish goals and needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in accounting. Responsibilities include a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the finance department. Familiarity with Sage 100 and Microsoft Office applications are valued.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the finance team in all the aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing process including account variance analysis.
- Assists the finance team in managing the Company’s compliance with its global accounting policies and procedures.
- Assists the finance team in managing the internal and external audits / prepared by client schedules assigned to the finance team for timeliness and accuracy.
- Owns and drives the reconciliation of intercompany transactions among entities.
- Prepares cash flow and working capital reports.
- Prepares reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Consolidates certain balance sheet accounts for review and analysis and reporting purposes.
- Consolidates and prepares detailed budget to actual reports by function.
- Maintains statutory books and governance over some legal entities.
- Supports and performs different roles within the finance department.
- Serves as liaison between departments in the resolution of administrative issues and inquiries.
- Prepares reports/analysis as needed for operations or finance department.
- Maintains accounting department files and records.
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, scanning and mailing.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Five plus years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Acute attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
- Strong organizational skills and analytical skills
