Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update 3D models of automotive electrical wiring harnesses using CATIA V5/V6 (required), ensuring dimensional accuracy and compatibility with the vehicle’s available space.
- Analyze and validate routing, fixation points, mechanical protection, and electrical clearances in accordance with OEM design specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and electrical diagrams to translate them into functional digital models.
- Work closely with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure that designs are suitable for production and comply with plant installation standards.
- Participate in technical reviews with global teams to adjust designs based on engineering feedback, early development stages, and OEM design changes.
- Support the creation of layouts, routing diagrams, and interference studies for new programs and engineering changes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in automotive electrical wiring harness design or electromechanical component design.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, particularly in the Electrical Harness Installation modules.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, technical and assembly tolerances.
