How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
As a Reliability Engineer, you will own the full reliability lifecycle of our cable backplane assemblies — from qualification testing through field data analysis. You will work closely with design, test, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure our high-speed copper cable solutions meet the demands of AI compute infrastructure and hyperscale datacenters. This role is based in Mexicali, Baja California.
You Will Make an Impact By:
-
Developing and executing reliability and qualification test plans for AIscale cable assemblies, including thermal cycling, vibration, flex, humidity bias, and accelerated life testing (ALT).
-
Leading complex electrical and mechanical failure analysis for cable assemblies, including intermittent opens, signal degradation, connector fretting, and termination failures.
-
Applying structured root cause methodologies (8D, 5Why, Fishbone) supported by electrical probing, TDR, X-ray, and micro-sectioning.
-
Building life and reliability models (Weibull, Arrhenius, Coffin-Manson, Miner's Rule) appropriate for cable and connector failure mechanisms.
-
Correlating accelerated test results with field data to validate models and confidence levels.
-
Analyzing FRACAS, RMA, and deployment data to identify systemic risks across large-scale AI infrastructure.
-
Authoring reliability reports, qualification summaries, and launch readiness documentation for executive and customer review.
-
Clearly communicating reliability risks and tradeoffs to cross-functional stakeholders in high-performance AI systems.
