As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies to support Carrier’s industrial automation initiatives.
In this role, you will collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering teams across plants and business units to develop, implement, and standardize automation solutions—directly impacting manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence.
As an Automation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Implementing robotic systems and automated cells in assembly and coil shop areas.
- Evaluating, selecting, and standardizing automation technologies such as vision systems, screwdriving, welding, brazing, and material handling solutions.
- Developing proof of concept (PoC) initiatives and leading their implementation across business units.
- Standardizing OEE measurement using digital twins to identify improvement opportunities in machinery and processes.
- Performing should-cost analysis to ensure ROI for automation projects.
- Creating technical documentation aligned with EHS requirements for automation initiatives.

As a minimum you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of machine design principles.
- Experience with control systems and process automation.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Experience with Industry 4.0 and emerging manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of IoT applications in manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with robotics and vision systems.
