Position Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support machining and assembly operations by providing technical expertise, improving productivity, reducing waste, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with product and process requirements.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
Responsibilities
Provide production areas with the tools, technical information, process documentation, and manufacturing methods required to meet product and process specifications.
Improve productivity in machining and assembly areas according to divisional goals and operational requirements.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, process standardization, and efficiency improvement.
Reduce scrap, PPMs, COPQ, and other quality-related costs through problem-solving, process control, and corrective actions.
Design, implement, and provide tooling required for new and existing product manufacturing.
Support manufacturing cost analysis by generating and maintaining the necessary process and technical information.
Manage engineering changes, including product launches, updates, revisions, obsolescence, and communication of changes to production teams.
Update process parameters, manufacturing layouts, work instructions, and related technical documentation.
Implement Kanban or similar replenishment systems to ensure proper tooling availability and inventory control.
Train production personnel to develop technical skills, improve process knowledge, and strengthen continuous improvement capabilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, or similar role.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in machining and assembly environments.
Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, and tool sharpening processes.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
Experience using CAD software or computer-aided design tools.
Knowledge of analytical and problem-solving tools for process improvement.
English proficiency of at least 75.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
Experience with machine setups and adjustments for chuckers and multi-spindle lathes is a plus.
