What the day will look like
Every day offers new opportunities and the chance to both mentor and receive coaching while working closely with business leaders and fellow AOLs to coordinate important projects and people processes supporting the wider Aon administrative community. Collaborate with leaders and support our internal clients by preparing/editing presentations and correspondence, coordinating sophisticated and virtual meeting logistics (including budgeting, travel, rooms, materials and catering) and facilitate communication between AOMs and business leaders. Colleagues in this role also apply expert knowledge of Aon’s brand identity and use of Workday.
-
Foster a team environment by facilitating AOM meetings, providing one-on-one mentorship and supporting SMART goal setting, development plans and ongoing feedback.
-
Collaborate alongside global leaders and supported colleagues to assess staffing levels, balance and delegate workloads and ensure appropriate administrative skill levels are in place.
-
Lead team projects; recruit, onboard, train and develop AOM and administrative talent; and act as a delegate for email, time recording, calendar management, research and special projects.
-
Balance high-impact strategic responsibilities with direct involvement in projects, results, and colleague development, offering the unique opportunity to influence both day-to-day operations and long-term administrative strategy.
How this opportunity is different
Unlike other administrative-focused roles, there exists the space to develop a long-term vision and understand the strategy of the business and administrative leadership. Serve as a key member of the Administrative Operations Leadership Team (AOLT), partnering with peer AOLs to design and supervise initiatives for AOMs and our administrative functions. Our colleagues effectively lead the team of AOMs through changing work environments, priorities and situations. We will provide mentorship and guidance as you focus on being a significant contributor to our talent development initiatives. Plus, receive support in establishing connections with our business units to facilitate long-term career success!

-
10+ years of meaningful experience in administrative support and advanced-level digital literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs.
-
Attention to details with strong follow-up skills; this often requires a level of decisiveness and good judgment.
